Volunteers from the Luna Sol Yoga group, based in Annandale, after a peaceful yoga session helped to harvest approximately 3,000 pounds of cabbage at America’s Grow-a-Row (AGAR) recently.

AGAR which is located in Pittstown, helps to feed those in need by donating free produce to families and individuals faced with hunger. After an hour yoga class at the farm led by Instructor Lisa Perry, the Luna Sol Yoga volunteers helped for two hours picking and packing up the produce which was then delivered to local hunger relief agencies all across New Jersey.

America’s Grow-a-Row, with the help of more than 4,000 volunteers, will plant, harvest and coordinate the distribution of approximately 1.2 million pounds of free produce to residents in need all across the state this year.
