Community Harvest Events
Harvest in the Fields
From mid-July to mid-November we need many helping hands at our farms, to harvest corn, peaches, zucchini, cabbage, tomatoes, and more! We grow nearly all crops that thrive in the Garden State.
- Come out as an individual community volunteer. We will send you information about where and when we will need many hands in the field to help! All ages and experience levels are welcome, those under 14 must be supervised by an adult.
- Help us glean, or rescue, fallen apples in autumn at our partnering farms: Riamede in Chester, NJ and Longmeadow in Hope, NJ.
Can’t join us but still want to contribute? Be a Virtual Volunteer with your donation!
Be a Virtual Volunteer!
Our volunteers are the backbone of America’s Grow-a-Row. You can help our farm team by being a Virtual Volunteer! Can you help us fulfill our goal of delivering 2.5 million pounds of healthy produce this year with a donation?
$50 = 2-hour volunteer shift
$200 = 8-hour day
$1,000 = a week on the farm!
America’s Grow-a-Row supplies food banks and pantries with 2.5 million pounds – 10 million servings – of nutritious, Jersey-fresh fruits and vegetables every year. These agencies are facing unprecedented need right now, as many people are experiencing food insecurity for the first time in their lives.
