MADISON, NJ – Newly established Chamber Music for Charity will have its inaugural concert on Monday, November 2, 2015, at 7:30 pm at Grace Episcopal Church, . It will be an evening of beautiful music for harp and string quartet benefitting ‘s Grow-a-Row. Featured artists will be Merynda Adams, harp, Christopher Collins Lee and Rebecca Harris Lee, violins, David Gold, viola and Amy Butler-Visscher, cello. The program will include: Handel, Concerto for Harp in Bb; Debussy, Danses sacrée et profane; and Grandjany, Aria in Classic Style and Rhapsodie.

Musicians at the concert include: Merynda Adams, harpist and resident, who is in demand as a soloist and chamber musician, performing throughout the , , , the and . She frequently collaborates with violinist, Christopher Collins Lee. Their CD, “Romantic Duos” was released in 2011. Christopher Collins Lee, violinist, holds the State Department title of Official Musical Ambassador of the United States, and has toured the world many times under their auspices The New York Times termed Dr. Lee “an impressive, stylish violinist with something special to say.” Rebecca Harris-Lee, violinist, played Principal Second violin with the Ohio Chamber Orchestra for six years before moving to the NY area. Ms. Harris-Lee currently plays in the Madison String Quartet. David Gold has been a freelance violist since earning his Master of Music in Viola Performance from The Juilliard School. Principal Viola of the Grace Church Chamber Orchestra for over 20 years, he has performed with the New York City Ballet, and toured with the New City Opera National Company. In addition to teaching privately, David is also on the faculty of the . Cellist Amy Butler-Visscher received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Eastman School of Music in . Since joining the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra, she was able to pursue her love of chamber music by performing solo and chamber recitals throughout the Washington Metro area and in 2006, joined the McLean Orchestra in as principal cellist.

There will be a free will offering at the door and all donations go directly to ’s Grow-a-Row (AGAR), a non-profit organization located in . AGAR grows and gleans fresh, healthy fruits and vegetables that are donated to those suffering from hunger and those living in “food deserts,” or areas that lack access to fresh, affordable produce, throughout the state of . Proceeds will help AGAR reach their 2015 goals of donating over 1 million pounds of farm-fresh food to various hunger relief agencies in New Jersey while at the same time educating people of all ages about hunger, the importance of agriculture, and healthy eating.

Chamber Music for Charity, presented through the non profit, Stardust Music Society of NJ (www.StardustNJ.org) is scheduled to have two concerts this inaugural season.
