Paul Lawrence Biking Adventure Fundraiser

Paul Lawrence, an avid cyclist from Flemington, NJ, is embarking on an adventure to cycle 80 km for 80 days leading up to his 80th birthday in October to raise funds to help reduce food insecurity and hunger. Paul has biked across the USA once at the age 70 and again at age 75. To make his milestone of turning 80 and biking 80 km for 80 days even more meaningful, Paul has chosen to give back to the community by raising funds for America’s Grow-a-Row. He is on a whole food, plant-based diet and knows raising funds will provide many in need with fresh fruits and vegetables. Make your donation today to support Paul!

Ride with Paul on Monday, October 9, 2023!
Please join Paul for The Octogenarian’s Celebration Ride (the 80th ride of the fundraiser) on Columbus
Day/Indigenous People’s Day, October 9, 2023. Either join him for the 80 km (50 miles) ride leaving at
7:30 am from 73 Biser Road, Flemington, NJ or ride the alternate 20-mile ride which leaves at about
10:30 am from the Croton Rod and Gun Club at 31 Rake Road, Flemington, NJ. The estimated arrival
time at America’s Grow-a-Row will be approximately 1:00 pm and a celebration will follow. Food for
purchase will be available onsite.
The ride is free, but donations are welcome. Paul will have ridden 4000 miles or 6400 km for the
fundraiser – at $0.02 per mile that’s $80, which will provide 400 servings of fresh produce. All donations
are welcome. Every dollar helps America’s Grow-a-Row to contribute to communities in need.

There are bathrooms and plenty of parking at both starting points and rides can be arranged to bring
you and your bike back to your starting point from America’s Grow-a-Row located at 150 Pittstown Road
Pittstown, NJ. There will be no snacks or mechanics available. If a breakdown occurs transportation for
you and your bike will be provided. You will be required to sign a waiver and obey all safety rules.
Remember, Paul averages 12-13 mph, so if you want to stay with him be prepared for a leisurely ride. Or
you can ride ahead and be at America’s Grow-a-Row to greet him on his arrival. For those prefer not to
bike, it would be fantastic if you were there to welcome all the riders as they pedal into America’s Grow-
a-Row!
