America’s Grow-a-Row was the recipient of an Eagle Scout project constructed and completed by Ryan Negoescu, member of the Bethlehem, Boy Scout Troop 191.

Ryan Negoescu presented 20 park benches to Chip Paillex, founder and president of AGAR. These versatile benches also convert to picnic tables for the local nonprofit organization that provides free fresh produce to those in need across NJ. The benches will serve as an area of rest for volunteers to sit in between their planting and harvest sessions as well as a place to host their inner city youth guests when they come out to harvest free produce for their families and communities.

Ryan managed the entire process of coming up with the idea, fundraising for the project, overseeing his Scout troop as they assembled the benches and the final delivery to the farm.
