America’s Grow-a-Row (AGAR) was the recipient of an Eagle Scout project constructed and completed by Jim Kiernan, member of the Alexandria, NJ Boy Scout Troop 112.

Jim proudly presented an information kiosk to Chip Paillex, founder and president of AGAR. The kiosk will serve as a resource center for guests as they enter the farm and seek information about AGAR, a local nonprofit organization that provides free fresh produce to those faced with hunger across New Jersey. The kiosk will provide updates about harvest events of the day as well as a map of the farm to help volunteers navigate throughout the property.

Jim managed the entire process of coming up with the idea, fundraising for the project, overseeing his Scout troop as they assembled the kiosk and the final installation of the unit at the farm.
