A Letter from Chip – Feeling grateful at this very special time of year!

Dear Friends,

Thanksgiving has always been a favorite holiday of mine, probably because it’s a celebration where people all across the country join in to recognize how thankful we are for all that we have. It’s a time when family and friends come together to share a meal and reflect on the blessings in our lives.

And even though it saddens me that many individuals across New Jersey and beyond are struggling to feed their families this holiday season, what continues to lift me up is that 9,000 volunteers came together to help us donate over 1.4 million pounds of fresh produce to those who face hunger and food insecurity. Our volunteers might never meet the guests of our Free Farm Markets or those who receive our produce from the hunger relief organizations we partner with, but I can tell you firsthand that these recipients are extremely grateful and have been so moved by your generosity and efforts to help to put food on their tables during their time of need.

At Thanksgiving and always, the list in my heart of what I’m most grateful for includes a special place for all of you in addition to my faith, family, and friends. May God bless you, your families, and those we serve.
