Chabad of Hunterdon Bar and Bat Mitzva Class at Hebrew School recently launched a fundraising project “Pennies 4 Produce,” to raise money for Grow-a-Row America, a local organization dedicated to stopping hunger in America.

Sally Zeiner from Grow-A-Row come and shared the importance of our efforts to help this important cause.

Zeiner demonstrated through an interactive lesson how hunger and food malnutrition effects the local population in the state of New Jersey. Zeiner also raised awareness on how much money it takes to feed a family nutritiously and healthy.

Following the demonstration the class hosted a bake sale for the entire Hebrew School and sold out all their baked goods in 15 minutes.

The school will continue to fill their chore jars and increase their efforts to help this wonderful organization and bring attention to how to help those that are undernourished or hungry.
