Lyrica Chamber Music Fundraiser Concert for AGAR

Time: May 5, 2013. 3:00 pm
Location: Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township, 240 Southern Blvd. Chatham, NJ 07928

Lyrica Chamber Music, in collaboration with Music for Food, is proud to announce the concluding concert of their 26th annual season, featuring the Grammy nominated Enso String Quartet and violist Samuel Rhodes in a very special benefit concert for America’s Grow-A-Row, on Sunday, May 5, 2013, 3pm.

A few years ago, the Grammy Award winning violist Kim Kashkashian asked a simple question: how could she use music to feed society–literally. The answer has developed into an organization called Music-for-Food, which creates performances that directly benefit local food banks, soup kitchens, and other organizations devoted to making sure everyone eats. Music for Food transforms the concert into a vehicle for service by bringing together renowned musicians who donate their performances with an audience that gives what money they can to a designated local food organization. This year, Americas Grow a Row will be the recipient of every dollar from ticket sales and audience donations.

The Enso Quartet and Samuel Rhodes, of the Julliard String Quartet, will present a thrilling program that features the sublime Mozart G minor Viola Quintet alongside works by Ravel and Benjamin Britten.

Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling 973-309-1668, or can be purchased at the door prior to the concert. Tickets are $25 / $20 senior / students free. For more information, visit www.lyricachambermusic.org.
